Every year approximately
230,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is a very scary time not only for the man but for those who have
been thrust into the role as caregiver. The good news
is that this disease if caught early is quite treatable. Nearly 2 million men in the US count themselves as prostate cancer
survivors. So, whether you
are a patient or a caregiver worried about the diagnosis of prostate cancer, making decisions about your
treatment, or trying to stay well after treatment, there is help right here.

This organization
was founded in 2003 by a caregiver. A person who, just like you, found himself thrust into the position of caring for a loved
one diagnosed with prostate cancer. Even though he had earned a PhD, he found himself lost in a medical community
fraught with its own language and bias. This journey left him one choice, create a place where caregivers can go to find
the help they need and in a language they can understand. |
